Awards & Recognition

The Cedar Falls Community Foundation annually recognizes donors, supporters, and grant recipients at the September Community Builder Celebration.  The event moves between venues in the community and is open to the public.

In addition, from time to time, the Foundation awards the Melendy Spirit Award to individuals, families, groups, or organizations who have made outstanding community contributions that have enhanced, improved, or positively affected the overall quality of life in Cedar Falls, through philanthropic or other means.

Cedar Falls Community Foundation Awards $20,000 in Scholarships

The Cedar Falls Community Foundation has awarded four $5,000 scholarships from the Robert Eller Study Abroad Endowment to support UNI students studying abroad during the Spring 2020 semester. The Robert Eller Study Abroad Endowment was established by emeritus UNI Education Media Specialist Robert Eller to foster the educational, professional, and personal growth of undergraduate students

2019 Competitive Grants to be Awarded September 26
