Spotlight Fund

The Rownd Trust was established in 1967 under the will of Ella C. Rownd as a memorial to herself, her husband, C.A. Rownd, and their son, Fred Rownd. The Rownd Trust supports local capital projects.  Since it was established, the Rownd Trust has supported almost every large capital project in Cedar Falls including the Falls Aquatic Center, the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center, Sartori Hospital, the Cedar Falls Recreation Center, and many more.

2020 CFCF Virtual Community Builder Celebration

Due to COVID-19 safety concerns and best practices protocols, the Cedar Falls Community Foundation pivoted to a virtual Community Builder Celebration in September. Cedar Falls Community Foundation Grants Made to Local Organizations

The Cedar Falls Community Foundation Board of Directors has approved grants to five area nonprofits totaling $33,250.00. Applications were accepted April through June to the Rownd Trust and the Diamond Arts and History Fund, through the Community Foundation’s online application portal at www.cf-communityfoundation.org The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra will receive $2,500 from the Diamond Arts
